The Cameroon national team star was taken to hospital due to a traffic accident

Former Cameroonian national team star Samuel Eto'o suffered a traffic accident. He was taken to hospital in the capital, Yaounde, after suffering separate injuries, while the car in which he was traveling crashed in a highway.

The British newspaper "The Sun" reported that Eto'o was driving his car on the way back to his home, after attending a wedding in his hometown of Cameroon, as the car hit a bus early Sunday morning.

The newspaper stated that Eto'o suffered head wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment, while a Cameroonian journalist named Martin Campo published a tweet with it attached to a picture of Eto'o's wrecked car, and wrote: "This shattered car was Samuel Eto'o inside."

He added, "I can say that Eto'o is fine. The doctors are taking care of Samuel and conducting further medical checks for him."

The picture shows that Eto'o's car was badly damaged in the front, colliding from the front, without it being clear whether it collided with the bus or a concrete wall after trying to avoid hitting the bus.

Eto'o is keen to be present permanently in Cameroon since his retirement from football, as he manages many investment projects there, after he stayed for about 20 years in Europe, during which he moved between several clubs and achieved great successes.
