Frida Kinhult, 21, won the final of the Symmetra Tour in Davidson, North Carolina, three days ago.

It paves the way for bigger competitions.

The Swede is ready to play in this year's US Open and has secured a place on the LPGA Tour for next season.

She tells SVT Sport how thoughts go.

- It's going to be a lot of fun with the US Open, great fun.

Major is never wrong.

Hopefully the mental preparations will be good so that I can feel ready for the next step and go out and fight for good placements even at the highest level, she says and continues:

- For my career, it is obviously a step in the right direction in the short term, as the US Open is in four weeks.

But even in the long run it can be good.

If you play well, you can go up in the lists and then there are opportunities.

There is nothing negative about my career with this.

"Very aggressive game strategy"

Kinhult also puts her finger on what went right when she was the winner last Friday.

- I had a game strategy last week that was very aggressive.

We felt that if you play the typical safe game and miss a little extra, you give yourself very difficult putts, have a hard time saving couples and it can run away bogeys that way, she says to SVT Sport and continues:

- By going for everything, you can instead give yourself reasonably good chances.

The blow you have to take on the whole thing is that you "short-sidear" from time to time, but it went very well.

The US Open in Houston is played December 10-13 and Pernilla Lindberg, Anna Nordqvist and Madelene Sagström are also qualified.
