In February, Danielson was sold from Djurgården to Chinese Dalian Pro.
Then came a pandemic that made Danielson have trouble getting into the country and instead he had to stay in Sweden and continue training with Djurgården.
Only in June did he travel to China - where it became an isolated bubble for a long time with many matches.
- It has been a special year.
First it was a problem to get into the country, then it was a season that looked different with a bubble where we spent very many days and played many matches.
It has been a tough but very educational year, says Danielson during Monday's digital press conference.
Danielson then goes on to tell about his time in China.
- It has been instructive to come to a new league, a new way to play football and get outside Sweden.
The coach (Rafael Benitez) also has a lot of experience from European football and I have learned a lot from him to develop my defensive game.
"Want to be part of a European Championship squad"
Danielson believes that this is an important national team collection for him personally.
- It is important for me to show what I can do and show that I want to be part of a European Championship squad next summer.
So this collection is important for Janne to want to take me out again.
Sweden meets Denmark in a training international match in Copenhagen on Wednesday.
