FC Barcelona striker Ansu Fati, who broke the medial meniscus in his left knee on Saturday in the 5-2 victory over Betis Sevilla, underwent surgery on Monday and his club estimated his absence at around four months , in a statement released Monday.
The Spanish international, author of a very good start to the season with Barça (five goals and two assists in ten games in all competitions), could be back in time to play Euro-2020, postponed by one year because of the coronavirus pandemic and whose date is now set from June 11 to July 11.

This bad news, however, should allow Antoine Griezmann, who seems to be slowly emerging from the water, and Ousmane Dembélé, author of a nice goal on Saturday, to appear regularly in the XI type of Ronald Koeman alongside Leo Messi.
