Ganna tested positive at the training camp in Montichiari in Lombardy on Thursday night.
He had tested negative on Tuesday and but felt milder symptoms on Wednesday and isolated himself in the hotel room and performed another test for safety.
- All other tests performed on the other members of the team were negative.
More tests will be carried out before the team goes to the European Championships on Sunday, the Italian Cycling Federation writes according to Cyclingnews.
The European Championships in track cycling will be decided at the Kolodruma Velodrome in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, 11-15 November.
