Visiting Lille have impressed in the French league where they are in second place, two points behind league leaders PSG.

Today they stood for a new strong effort when they defeated Milan 3-0 away at the San Siro.

The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when Yusuf Yazici was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 22 minutes into the match.

Shortly afterwards, in the 25th minute, Zlatan Ibrahimovic got a nice free kick position from about 20 meters.

The Swede went on the force, but goalkeeper Mike Maignan saved.

Milan's first loss

The score was 1-0 to Lille at half time before they pulled away to 3-0 with two goals within three minutes in the second half.

First, Yazici fired a cunning long-range shot that bounced right in front of Milan goalkeeper Donnarumma, and in the 58th minute Lille made a superb change where Yazici completed his hat trick.

As recently as October 22, he scored three goals in the first Europa League group stage match against Sparta Prague.

In total, he has been noted for six goals in three games.

Zlatan then?

He stood, like the rest of Milan, for a smooth effort.

The Swede was replaced by Ante Rebic in the 62nd minute.

This was the first time for the season that Milan partly lost a match and partly became goalless.
