- The football year has been quite messy.
But I still think it feels right to take the chance to pay attention to all the great achievements, says Lasse Granqvist, who is the host together with Frida Nordstrand, to TT.
The Swedish Football Association writes in a press release:
“The football gala we got used to this year will be replaced by the Football Year 2020 - first and second half.
Two one-hour programs where the best of football is praised and the past football year is portrayed from an elite and broad perspective ”.
In the main program, "Football year 2020 - second half" on November 24, the Gold Ball, the Diamond Ball and the Football Channel's honorary prize will be awarded.
TT: What will be missing?

When it comes to the matches, the audience is missing.
I do not know if it will be missing here as well.
What I do know is that parts of the decision basis will be missing when so much has been canceled, says Lasse Granqvist.
Two "halves"
"Football year 2020 - second half" will be broadcast on 24 November 20.00 on TV4 and in TV4 Play.
In the pre-program "Football year 2020 - first half", which is only broadcast on TV4 Play and on Fotbollskanalen, prizes for goalkeeper of the year, defender of the year, midfielder of the year and striker of the year will be awarded.
The prizes for this year's goals as well as this year's shooter kings and shooter queens will be awarded in the program "After five" on TV4 in December.
It will also be time for reflection when long-time union chairman Lars-Åke Lagrell, who passed away in September, will pay tribute.
"Important to remember"
- It is important to remember those who have done a lot for football but who are no longer with us.
Last year, it was Lennart Johansson who attracted attention at the gala, says Lasse Granqvist.
Already in March, the Swedish Football Association announced that the Football Gala 2020 will not be held as normal in the Globe.
