Bayern Munich defender infected with Corona virus

Bayern Munich, the leaders of the German Football League, announced today, Monday, that its international defender Niklas Zolleh has been infected with the new Corona virus and has not participated in the match against Austrian Salzburg today, Tuesday, in the third round of the group stage of the European Champions League.

"Niklas Zolleh, 25, is in quarantine at his home," Bayern Munich said in a statement. "He is in good condition."

"It is a lesser option, but we will deal with his absence and I hope that we will remain here, in one case," his coach, Hanzi Flick, said in a press conference, which was reported by the Bavarian club directly on its official website.

He added that the European champions' players and coaching staff are subjected to daily tests.

The striker, Serge Gnabry, had missed the first match in the group stage against Atlético Madrid (4-0) two weeks ago for the same reason.
