75% of Italian League clubs are unable to pay players' salaries

According to press reports on Sunday, 15 of the 20 Italian Serie A clubs are unable to pay their players' salaries for the month of November.

The Italian newspaper "Il Corriere dello Sport" cited a report by the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, stating that 15 out of 20 clubs in the limelight are facing severe difficulty in securing their November salaries.

According to the report, some clubs have not yet paid their June salaries, but they have a deadline of November 16 for payment.

The two newspapers indicated that the Italian Football Association and the Italian League made a double proposal to the Italian government to try to solve this crisis, as the first request referred to the postponement of the deadline for paying players' salaries in the current season, but this matter requires reaching an agreement between clubs and players first.

As for the second proposal, it stipulates that clubs should not bear the value of taxes related to players' salaries in the current season.
