Devastating wins for Arsenal and Milan

Arsenal and Milan, one of the most high-profile teams of the current Europa League, won victories on Thursday with the same score - 3: 0.

The Londoners smashed the Irish Dundalk at home.

The opponent kept his goal intact for almost the entire first half, but then conceded three goals in five minutes (42nd, 44th and 46th) without taking into account the time added by the referee.

And the first two goals were scored by 21-year-old Edward Nketia and Joseph Willock.

And right after the break, Nicolas Pepe put a point with a beautiful blow from the penalty line.

And as part of Milan in the match with Czech Sparta, 21-year-old players (Braim Diaz, Rafael Leau and Diogo Dalot) scored all three goals.

For the first time in the history of the European Cup, three players not older than 1999 distinguished themselves at once.

But 39-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic did not manage to hit someone else's goal even from the penalty spot.

At the end of the first half, the veteran scored a penalty himself, but struck the crossbar from a point.

The Swede missed the second penalty out of the last three.

Milan not only managed to win a major victory, but also noted a couple of statistical achievements.

First, the Rossoneri extended their unbeaten streak in all tournaments to 23 matches.

Second, they have scored two or more goals in 12 straight games for the first time since the 1929/30 season.

Successful departures of Napoli and Leicester

Two other teams representing the top 5 leading national championships in Europe, Leicester and Real Sociedad, also won.

The English team in Group G defeated AEK (2: 1) on the road, led by Massimo Carrera, who led Spartak to the championship.

One of the goals was scored by Jamie Vardy.

The 33-year-old striker converted a penalty and chalked up the seventh goal in six games this season, five of them from the penalty spot.

Also, the striker, having scored in the Europa League, managed to score goals in all the tournaments in which Leicester played.

Previously, he hit the gates of the team's rivals in the Premier League, Championship, English League Cup, FA Cup, FA Super Cup and Champions League.

Now the Foxes have six points out of six possible, and they share the leadership in Group G with the Portuguese Braga.

Unlike Leicester, Napoli started the group stage with an unexpected home defeat to AZ Alkmaar.

Therefore, the Neapolitans were required to score three points in an away match with the leader of the Example Real Sociedad.

And Gennaro Gattuso's wards solved this problem successfully.

Matteo Politano scored the only goal with a beautiful long-range shot at the beginning of the second half.

At the same time, a rebound from an opponent helped the Italian to distinguish himself.

However, a big fly in the ointment for "Napoli" was the injury of the main striker Lorenzo Insigne, who was forced to ask for a replacement in the middle of the first half.

As for the performance of the Spanish teams, apart from Real Sociedad, Granada also lost points.

The European debutant on the road failed to beat Krasnodar's rival in the Champions League qualification PAOK - 0: 0.

Misfires "Tottenham" and "Roma"

But the main sensation of the game day took place in Belgium, where the modest Antwerp beat Tottenham with a minimum score and interrupted the opponent's ten-match unbeaten run.

Moreover, the Londoners were defeated absolutely on the case.

For the entire game, they created a minimum of dangerous moments at the enemy's goal, and in the middle of the first half, Ben Davis gave the ball to Diemerci Mbokani in his half of the field.

The Congolese came close to someone else's penalty area and brought Lior Rafaelov to the final blow, who distinguished himself in the second LE meeting in a row.

During the break, an annoyed Jose Mourinho made four substitutions at once, including releasing Son Heung Min on the field, and a little later threw Harry Kane into the battle.

But this did not help either.

Rather, the hosts could increase the advantage in the score than the guests to recoup.

Thus, "Antwerp" for the first time since 1975 beat the team representing England.

And Mourinho, after the final whistle, posted a funny post on Instagram, in which he recalled that his wards will have a training session at 11 in the morning.

Unexpectedly lost points and "Roma", which in the framework of Group A took the Sofia CSKA.

The Romans were considered the clear favorite of the meeting and struck 22 shots on the opponent's goal, but did not manage to score.

The meeting ended without goals scored, and now Roma shares the first place in their quartet with the Romanian CFR Cluj.

Four goals from Hoffenheim in Belgium

The game day was unsuccessful for the German Bayer.

After the Leverkusen team defeated Nice (6: 2) in the first round, it seemed that they would not leave a chance for Czech Slavia on the road.

However, the charges of Peter Bosch were greatly let down by the striker Karim Bellarabi, who received a direct red card for a rough foul in the middle of the first half.

As a result, in the minority, the favorite had to mostly defend.

In an amicable way, Bayer should have conceded already in the 65th minute, but the team's goalkeeper Lukasz Hradecki not only parried a shot from the penalty spot from Nicolae Stanciu, but also coped with the finishing move.

However, closer to the final whistle, Slavia achieved their goal.

After filing all the same Stanchu from a corner, Peter Olayinka sent the ball into the net.

It is noteworthy that both players appeared on the field at the same time after an hour of the meeting.

But another German team “Hoffenheim” won a second victory in a row within the framework of Group L. Sebastian Hönees' team defeated Belgian “Gent” - 4: 1.

At the same time, the match could have turned out differently, if the score was 0: 0 in the 14th minute of the penalty kick, the Ukrainian midfielder of the hosts Roman Yaremchuk.

Bad day for "Karabakh" and "Zarya"

The affairs of the two teams from the post-Soviet space are not developing in the best way (if you do not take into account the Moscow CSKA).

On Thursday, "Garabagh" and "Zorya" suffered their second consecutive defeats in the group stage.

The Ukrainian team lost to Braga at home.

The hosts had an openly unsuccessful start of the meeting and conceded twice by the 11th minute.

In the future, the Luhansk team tried to reduce the gap in the score, but managed to do it only in addition to the main time of the meeting - 1: 2.

In turn, "Garabagh" stoically restrained the offensive of "Villarreal" at home.

During the entire game, the Spanish team struck 19 shots on goal (10 - on target) against the opponent's five.

However, in the 78th minute, Owusu Kvabena unexpectedly brought the Azerbaijani squad forward.

The incident only angered the guests, and soon 18-year-old Jeremi Pino equalized the score.

It is noteworthy that the young footballer played only his third game for Villarreal.

Another substitute player, Paco Alcacer, scored twice.

The striker has four goals in the current UEL season, as well as seven goals in his last six meetings for Villarreal in all competitions.

Three goals from Wolfsberg from the penalty spot

The first round of the Europa League group stage was remembered for the incredible goal from Rangers striker Kemar Ruf from midfield.

And after just a week, the Spanish midfielder of the Cypriot Omonia Jordi Gomez scored an even more beautiful ball.

The footballer managed to hit the PSV goal from his own half - from 56 meters.

True, this goal did not bring the team points.

Shortly before the break, 21-year-old striker of the Dutch team Doniell Malen equalized the score, and in the 92nd minute brought PSV a strong-willed victory.

And here is the saaaaaaaaaaaaaamy far goal of the week ☄

Omonia's Jordi Gomez shot PSV on goal from his half.

An extremely rare event took place in the match of CSKA's rivals in group K, “Feinoord” and “Wolfsberg” (1: 4).

The referee from Serbia Srdjan Jovanovic appointed three penalties at once against the team from the Netherlands, and all of them were converted.

And by the 13th minute, the guests struck twice from the "point".

The double was designed by the 35-year-old team captain Michael Lindl.

Feyenoord scored only a goal of prestige for the authorship of Steven Berguys.

Thus, the charges of the former head coach of Zenit and the national team Dick Advocaat in the first two rounds scored only one point, while Wolfsberg - four.
