FC Barcelona (FCB) has rediscovered its colors on October 28, 2020, in the European Football Club Cup (UEFA Champions League), 24 hours after the resignation of its president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Barça took advantage of a prestigious success on the ground of Juventus Turin to give better pace to a bad month of October, with 3 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw (all competitions).

FCB won 2-0 during this clash counting for the second day of the group stage of the Champions League.

No reunion between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

This meeting was eagerly awaited by football fans, because it was to bring together the two football superstars, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

But the latter was not summoned by Juve for the meeting, probably because of a new positive test for Covid-19.

The Portuguese therefore witnessed from a distance the lackluster performance of his Italian club and the success of his great Argentinian rival.

However, it was on a deflected shot by Frenchman Ousmane Dembélé (0-1, 14th) that the Spanish club first made the difference.

The Catalans then widened the gap thanks to a penalty from Messi (90th + 1), following a foul on the young Ansu Fati (soon 18).

Between these two achievements, the Barcelona harvested a lot, in particular the Frenchman Antoine Griezmann who shot on the right post (2nd) and next to the frame (75th).

Three goals denied to Alvaro Morata

And the Turin training?

She had a frustrating evening, her striker Alvaro Morata being refused three goals for offside (16th, 30th, 55th).

So frustrating that Merih Demiral was excluded after a second warning (85th).

Twelfth in the Spanish Championship standings, FC Barcelona is however first in its group G in the Champions League, thanks to this second success in as many games.

The Blaugrana will attempt a pass of three on November 4 against Dynamo Kiev.

As for the Turinese, they will go to Hungary, to Ferencvaros.
