Golovko himself remarked that the man who hit him was definitely not related to the team, since “he had no distinctive signs and attributes”.
The Russian Premier League (RPL) strongly condemned the attack on Golovko and promised to conduct a thorough investigation.
Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin called the incident an outrage, unacceptable in sports and life.
In his opinion, "certain sanctions" should be applied to the culprits, and it is important for "Akhmat" himself "to admit mistakes in time and not to allow such incidents."
As stressed by the chairman of the referee committee of the Russian Football Union Ashot Khachaturyants, the Control and Disciplinary Committee will severely punish Akhmat for not providing security measures and excommunicate the attacker from football.
