Series-leading Malmö FF lost last 2-0 to 2-3 during the last ten minutes of the match.

But not much was noticed of that breakthrough, when the team tonight received the bottom team IFK Gothenburg (without corona patient Mattias Bjärsmyr) at home.

Chrisitansen punished

MFF stood for most of the match for a very stable effort, and won 3-1.

The team took the lead already after three minutes, when Anders Christiansen certainly managed a penalty.

Wernbloom with well-placed shot

However, Pontus Wernbloom made a spectacular save. Goalkeeper Marko Johansson made a mistake on the right, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.

Wernbloom then grabbed the ball, turned away a defender and put the ball nicely right next to the first post.

- He disappeared, Wernbloom told Dplay during the half-time break, where he laughed and added:

- It is not often that I have time before people.

It was just to thank and receive.

It was good that you got to hang it there, it was a few games since last time.

Toivonen put second

But so many more reasons than that did not make Wernbloom and "Blåvitt" laugh.

Twelve minutes after Werbloom's equalizer, Ola Toivonen steered nicely into Adi Nalic's input.

The Gothenburg players wanted it to be offside, but the replay pictures showed that Alexander Jallow stepped up and past Toivonen too late.

In the second half, MFF completely controlled the events, and when Giorgi Kharaishvili in the 64th minute nodded in the post from Adi Nalic in his own cross, the matter was more or less clear.
