Schalke apologizes for the racist abuse of his fans of the player Youssef Mukoko

The Schalke Club apologized for the actions of some fans who racially insulted Borussia Dortmund star Yusef Mukoko during the two teams' match in the German U-19 Youth League on Sunday.

Schalke wrote on his account on the social networking site (Twitter), "We can only apologize for the behavior of some of our fans towards Yusef Mukoko in today's U-19 match."

He continued, "Regardless of the feelings of the derby between the two teams, we totally condemn and oppose such insults."

Mukoko, who is on the list of the first team for Dortmund, was subjected to repeated insults by the Schalke fans after he scored three goals (hat-trick) in the match that ended with Dortmund winning 3-2.

Mukoko is preparing to record his first appearance with the first team of Dortmund in the German League (Bundesliga) after completing his sixteenth year in November.

Schalke, who included the tag "No to Racism" on his Twitter account, confirmed that the club would take the necessary measures against those involved in the incident.
