It was dramatic in the seventh round of the World Cup series.

In the final heat, Johan Kristoffersson and Timmy Hansen had a rock-hard duel for the victory.

Both at the start and on the last lap.

So hard that the competition jury wanted to review the duels afterwards, but chose to free.

Reigning world champion Timmy Hansen won the final heat by a narrow margin before Kristoffersson.

Hansen founded the victory in taking his joker lap early, and when Kristoffersson took his late batter Hansen passed and kept away, despite contact with Kristoffersson just before the finish.

- It feels like I have beaten the unbeatable.

I needed to get everything out of myself to win.

I needed to get 100 percent out of every curve.

But this is something we've been chasing for a long time.

It feels fantastic to be here as a winner, Timmy Hansen told C More afterwards.

Extended the World Cup lead

Despite the loss in the final heat, Kristoffersson was the big winner in Barcelona.

He got 27 points and extended his World Cup lead to 25 points ahead of Mattias Ekström.

- We got 27 points and extended the lead.

We must be happy and respect our opponents.

Hansen's team did a fantastic job and Timmy had a better strategy than me today, said Johan Kristoffersson.

Timmy Hansen now climbed up to third place in the WC table, where he has a five point lead over the Finn Niclas Grönholm.

The World Cup weekend in Barcelona continues on Sunday.
