It was last summer when Sabina Jacobsen traveled from Sweden to Russia that one of her knees, which she operated on in 2013, swelled up.

Since then, she has rehabilitated her knee and she missed, among other things, Sweden's double meetings with Poland two weeks ago.

But now the Swedish team captain is back.

She has been training handball fully for three and a half weeks and yesterday she made a comeback with her Russian club team CSKA Moscow.

- I played 45 minutes yesterday and did handball training today and there have been no problems at all.

It just feels good, says Sabina Jacobsen to SVT Sport.

- It's so nice not to have pain.

Now I can get up off the couch and run, I can do everything I hurt before.

On October 27, national team captain Tomas Axnér will take the squad to the European Championships in Denmark and Norway in December and Jacobsen is ready for national team games if she is selected.

- Now I can play but I need to perform as well- It's not me who takes the team out so I can only do my best.

31-year-old Jacobsen does not think that the tight play schedule of the European Championship play-offs is a problem for the knee.

- I have basically played handball every day and my knee has not reacted negatively.
