Now its time.

Saturday morning, the alpine world cup season begins in Sölden with the ladies' giant slalom.

The big snack is that Mikaela Shiffrin, USA, will not start due to her back injury.

She is with the American team in Europe, but the comeback is delayed.

In the Swedish camp, expectations are low.

The downsizing and training after last season was stopped by the pendemic and the number of sessions in the pre-season has been less than normal.

- We do not have a big, strong team anymore and should not hope too much, says Hellman.

Sara Hector, 28, is Sweden's number one.

- She has not enjoyed Sölden before but should bring a place among the top 15 to gain momentum.

She is our best skier in advance.

Estelle Alphand, 25, is the closest challenger in the Swedish team.

- She has not had a good flow due to injuries but should be able to have a good winter if everything is correct.

The general feeling now that it's time for the premiere?

- Fantastic fun.

I have been worried about whether the pandemic would interfere but it seems to work.

It will be fun, says Tobias Hellman.
