In over 750 NHL games, Alex Pietrangelo, 30, has represented St. Louis.

Louis Blues.

The biggest success came as late as the 18/19 season when he was involved and led the team all the way to becoming champion of the Stanley Cup.

Now the stable defense giant gets new headlines - but for a completely different reason.

On Tuesday morning, it was clear that Pietrangelo was leaving St.

Louis for games with the Vegas Golden Knights.

"Among the league's four-five best defenders"

There, the Canadian player has signed a contract over seven seasons to the value of almost half a billion Swedish kronor.

- In Alex we get a player who is in the discussions about winning the Norris Trophy every season.

He is one of the league's four or five best defenders.

He is also a right-handed shooter and has a good size, says Vegas general manager, Kelly McCrimmon and continues:

- I also want to emphasize that we had not given this length of a contract to any player other than one in Alex's caliber who we know will add a lot to our game.
