His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, issued Decision No. (4) for the year 2020, appointing an assistant coach from among the citizens among the technical staff of the first team for group games in Dubai clubs, and His Highness obliged all clubs, sports companies, and sports sectors In Dubai, the implementation of this decision as of the current sports season 2020-2021, and work to select the candidates to take over the work, and train them to achieve the required technical requirements.

A statement issued by the Dubai Sports Council yesterday said that the new decision aims to enable national coaches to work in various sports clubs and companies and gain their confidence, and to continue to enhance the capabilities and develop the skills of national coaches who are appointed by sports clubs or companies, and to contribute to refining and developing their technical capabilities. .

The statement stressed that the decision also included technical conditions and controls for implementation, including that the trainer be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates, and that he possesses the minimum training qualification required for the job prescribed by the association concerned with the game, and that he is devoted to performing his work at the specified times for training.

The new decision provides great support for national sports cadres, as well as a new phase of the Dubai Council’s work in support, empowerment and development of national coaches. The council explained that this approach has contributed to raising the number of national coaches, who are actually working in training football teams in clubs and companies in Dubai, to 70 out of 130 coaches, with a rate of more than 54% of the number of coaches, with a plan to increase this percentage annually.

Officials in team sports federations confirmed their welcome of the decision, and explained to "Emirates Today" that the decision will raise the level of national coaches, and constitute a great support for Emirati sports in general.

The President of the Volleyball Federation, Youssef Al-Mulla, said that “His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed’s decision will increase interest in the local national training cadre, so that it has a prominent position on the map of collective games, similar to the administrative and arbitration elements.

He continued: “The Volleyball Association may be at the forefront of the sports federations, which took a proactive step for this decision, when it obligated the clubs participating in the federation’s activities to the necessity of a citizen coach within the technical apparatus of the volleyball teams, to improve the position of the local technical cadre and motivate the retired players to go towards the seats Technical, as part of the desired endeavors by the Federation officials to develop the game.

He added: “We have set multiple plans to develop the capabilities of the national trainer, by organizing many courses in the training field, and we have sought to transfer advanced expertise internationally to the national elements, and we are fully prepared to cooperate with all clubs and Dubai clubs to qualify national cadres, to ensure that the trainer The national authority is primarily responsible for the technical leadership of the aircraft teams, and not just an individual within the technical staff.

As for the Secretary of the Basketball Federation, Salem Al-Mutawa, he said that the Basketball Federation is constantly seeking to qualify a group of national trainers to work in clubs and the Union, by educating them in this field, as he, a few days ago, organized internationally recognized training courses to prepare the cadres Patriotism according to the best international regulations.

Al-Mutawa pointed out: “We in the Basketball Association believe very well in the role of the national coach, especially that we have successful models who have gone through the training experience and achieved remarkable successes, perhaps the most important of which is the national coach, Abdul Hamid Ibrahim, who is currently training the Sharjah team, and has achieved successes in several locations, as well as a coach.
