The Dubai International Marine Club celebrated the crowning of the champions of the first round of the 22-foot Dubai Dhow Sailing Championship, which was held last Saturday through visual communication technology.

A press release said: “This step comes from a new initiative from the Dubai International Marine Club, to implement precautionary measures and support efforts to confront the Corona pandemic, and in response to the directives of the responsible health authorities in order to implement all measures according to the instructions and protocol issued by them.”

The Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Club, Mohammed Abdullah Hareb, was keen to participate in visual communication and crown the champions of the race, and the coronation ceremony was also attended by the Secretary General of the Marine Sports Federation, Mahra Falaknaz.

The Dubai International Marine Sports Club had started its activities in the new marine sports season 2020-2021, by holding the first round race of the Dubai National Sailing Boating Championship 22 feet last Saturday, where it competed for the first places for the youth under 21 years and juniors under 16 years, About 30 boats with 150 Nakhudas and sailors on board.

The race recorded the victory of the crew of "Take off 118", first for the youth category, while the boat "Flood 21" won the top spot.
