New national team captain Glenn Solberg has taken his first squad, to the European Championship qualifiers at home against Romania on November 5 and away against Kosovo three days later.

Back in the squad is 31-year-old right-hander Niclas Ekberg, after taking a break from the national team and standing over the European Championships in January this year.

- We have had a good dialogue all the time and the best thing for the national team is always that the best players are available ", says Glenn Solberg during the squad presentation.

The Kiel star, who is the national team's tenth best goal scorer of all time, also opens to take part in next summer's Olympics in Tokyo.

- It would be very fun to experience it, but the road there is long and there is a lot that must be true.

But it will be extremely fun to play for Sweden again, says Ekberg.
