The statement reads: “In the junior category, the boat (Tufan 21) was first arrived by its owner Ahmed Al Marzouki, and was led by Nokhatha Zayed Al Dhaheri, who came first in the junior category and eighth in the general ranking of the race, while the boat came second in the same category (Sarab 24 ) To its owner Muhammad al-Hammadi and led by his son Al-Nukhatha Abdul-Rahman. The boat (Nahl 90) came third to its owner Abdullah Al-Marzouki and led by his son Al-Nukhatha Sultan.

"The start of the race was in front of the Dubai waterfront, and boats sailed towards the finish line towards the Burj Al Arab Hotel for a distance of up to five nautical miles," the statement said.

For his part, the Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Club, Mohammed Hareb, praised the great success achieved at the start of the season thanks to the efforts of the partners from government departments and national institutions: the General Command of the Dubai Police, the Dubai Maritime City Authority and the Protection of Vital Facilities and Coasts (Fourth Squadron Command) And the General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai, representatives of the media, as well as the cooperation of the participants with the organizing committee.

In turn, Nokhatha said the boat «take off 118» Ahmed Al Hammadi, that the victory is a good start to a long and anticipated season, praising the support of his team and the efforts of his colleagues in the crew of the boat.

It was decided that the second and final round of the 22-foot Dubai Domestic Sailing Championship will be held on January 9, according to the calendar and program of marine racing approved by the club's management.

The race witnessed the participation of 30 boats, carrying 150 young people who competed for the titles of the youth and junior categories.
