France - Wales will take place on Saturday 24 October?

Nothing is less certain, just two weeks away from this first game of the fall tour.

At the heart of the imbroglio between the League (LNR) and the Federation (FFR), this friendly to take place at the Stade de France could be sacrificed.

Indeed, the two decision-making bodies of French rugby still cannot reach an agreement on the number of matches for the France team this fall.

The Federation wants 6, the League accepts 5. And the Council of State, referring everyone to the agreement signed between LNR and FFR, has not really decided.

In summary: to extend the international window from three to seven weeks - one match per week plus one rest - the modification of the agreement, dating from 2018, is a mandatory step.

However, discussions have stalled for weeks and the Blues must meet within ten days, on October 19, in Marcoussis.

Without a new version, the 2018 convention will prevail and the Blues will have only 4 weeks of preparation for 3 matches, estimates the League, using the terms of the previous convention.

And asks the FFR, this Saturday, in a letter made public by the Midi-Olympique, to "confirm that these convocations (for France - Wales) are null and void as long as an agreement is not found between the FFR and the LNR.

"

The League also proposed to relaunch discussions on Monday.

The soap opera is not over.
