A member of the Dubai Sports Council, Chairman of the complex, Ahmed Al Shafar, confirmed that the complex has become a model for modern multi-use sports facilities, pointing out that His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, held the complex’s board of directors responsible for achieving the goals. The complex can accommodate more than 15,000 seated spectators, and it also contains three main swimming pools, which are: a 50-meter main pool for holding competitions, a training pool, and a third swimming pool.

It consists of four floors, which include the operations and management offices and the committees organizing the events that will take place in it, and there are also observation rooms and a room for testing samples of stimulants, and with the aim of saving energy and preserving the environment, modern solar-powered means are used for outdoor lighting and pool water heating.

There are 12 VIP suites, and it also contains six main hospitality places and two restaurants, as well as a medical center, multiple changing rooms, and physical therapy for athletes, and the complex also includes parking spaces for 1588 cars.

The complex was provided with modern communication services, sufficient for more than 20 thousand spectators present inside it at the same time, and an electronic board with a total area of ​​50 square meters.

340 sporting events hosted by the complex over 10 years

During 10 years, Hamdan Complex hosted 340 different international sports and local events and events, including 92 international events, which varied between water sports, non-water sports, and non-sporting events.

And the number of international water championships, which were organized in the complex, to 58 events, including the International Swimming Federation championships, such as the Swimming World Cup.
