Henrik Lundqvist was not allowed to remain in the New York Rangers and was bought out on September 30 from his contract with the club, which he represented for 15 seasons.

Since then, there have been rumors about what will be the next step for "Henke".

If he might go home to Sweden to play with Frölunda, or somehow stay in North America and the NHL.

The answer was the latter.

On Friday, the Swedish star goalkeeper was presented and ready for the Washington Capitals.

According to TSN, the contract with Washington is worth 1.5 million dollars.
