The promoters of the vote of no confidence against the Barcelona board congratulated themselves this Thursday for having concluded the validation of ballots with 19,380 valid signatures out of the 20,702 processed (16,520 were required to carry out a referendum against the

Josep Maria Bartomeu board

).

The Barça government, however, does not intend to make his expulsion easy.

The Barcelona entity, by means of a letter, has informed the Civil Guard of the alleged falsification of rubrics when it understands that there are indications of massive fraud in the supports presented.

The representatives of the Barcelona Football Club at the table for the vote of no confidence,

Marta Plana

and

Jordi Argemí

, tried throughout the process that the president of the body and delegate chosen by the Catalan Football Federation,

Josep Maria Vallbona

, allowed data to be crossed to verify the firms.

The Chairman of the Board did not authorize it, so it was decided that after the validation of each of the supports, an SMS would be sent to the partner in question as an acknowledgment of receipt.

A method accepted by the first signatories of the motion (

Jordi Farré

and

Josep Triadó

), but that Barcelona considered insufficient.

And that now has led the club to address the Civil Guard.

In the brief presented to the police station, advanced by La Vanguardia, Barcelona affirms that the presentation of "up to 300 ballots whose authenticity is questioned (...) suggests that there may be other blocks of non-authentic ballots" .

The club claims to be the victim of "a perfectly planned and orchestrated campaign in order to harm the board and its president by illicit means."

Barcelona sources consulted by this newspaper relate the alleged fraud in signatures of the vote of no-confidence with the alleged organized plot of falsification and resale of some 2,800 fertilizers carried out in October 2018 also by the Civil Guard, which acted as judicial police of the court of instruction number 1 of Barcelona.

A case that is not yet closed.

The Civil Guard has asked Fútbol Club Barcelona for more information after that first letter, just when the motion process reaches its final part.

The table of the vote of no confidence has between 10 and 20 business days to hold the referendum.
