Athletics boss Sebastian Coe wants to allow knee flexion during the Olympics

According to the Olympic rules, political, religious or racist propaganda is prohibited everywhere within the Olympic arenas and the Olympic Village.

But Sebastian Coe, head of athletics and himself both Olympic gold medalist and world record holder, thus defies these rules.

This as long as they are not disrespectful to other athletes.

- Athletes are part of the world and if they want to reflect on the world they live in, it is completely acceptable to me as long as it happens with a total respect for the other competitors, which I think most of them understand.

Sure of good Olympics

Coe is convinced that the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo will be both Corona safe and well conducted.

- We do not know for sure what will happen in the coming months.

We work hard with the organizer so that the games will be fantastic.

There may be some adjustments and differences from the normal, but I am completely convinced that even in those circumstances it will be a great Olympics.
