Al-Jazirah kicks off the season with a sudden loss from Kalba

Today, the Al-Jazira team suffered a shock 2-1 loss from its host Kalba in the latter's stadium, and in the first matches of the new season, in the first round of the Arabian Gulf Cup.

The two teams postponed the decision until November 12 at Al Jazira Stadium in Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The Togolese Malaba was a milestone for Kalba, especially as he scored two winning goals.

Kalba relied heavily on the speed of Brazilian Junior and Malaba and Ahmed Gishk's start, as there was more than a dangerous opportunity for the landowner in the first 20 minutes, most notably Ahmed Gishk alone in the goal, but Al-Jazira goalkeeper Abdul Rahman Al-Amiri brilliantly responded (4), while the referee canceled a goal scored by Gashk on the grounds of Malaba offside, who missed another dangerous opportunity with a shot inside the penalty area over the crossbar 19.

In the 22nd minute, Kalba translated his advantage, and Malaba scored the first goal, after receiving a wonderful pass from Majid Rashid, to make the Togolese stand alone in the goal and hit the ball skillfully into the net.

The second half witnessed an improvement in the performance of the island, and the Serbian Milos Kosanovic scored the equalizer from a direct free kick in a wonderful way (60).

But Malaba returned and ended the match to Kalba with a shot from inside the area in the 90th minute.
