Australian players Melissa Tepp and Hu Heming also withdrew from the women's and men's World Cup matches respectively, and their places will be replaced by German players Han Ying and Francesca.

After months of planning, table tennis will return to the international arena in November this year through a "restart" series of events.

  The restart plan consists of three of the most prestigious ITTF events: the 2020 ITTF Women’s World Cup, the 2020 ITTF Men’s World Cup and the 2020 ITTF Finals.

In November this year, many international table tennis stars will gather in China to compete in these three events.

  There will be 21 male and female athletes participating in the Men’s and Women’s World Cup events, including current world champions, players who have advanced from various finished intercontinental events (African, European and Pan-American), and other intercontinental players (Asia and Oceania) who have passed the world rankings. And other athletes who qualify through the World Cup format.

  The list of Asian athletes is based on the original list of Asian Cup participants.

The quotas of athletes who were unable to participate in the event have also been replaced by other alternate athletes.

Each association can have up to 2 male athletes and 2 female athletes participating in the World Cup.

  The World Cup usually consists of 20 athletes, but this year due to the registration period for athletes, changes to the competition conditions, and last-minute changes in some league schedules, the ITTF Executive Committee decided to provide greater participation procedures. Flexibility, increasing the quota for each event to 21.
