In response to this, the Japan Swimming Federation deliberated on the treatment of Seto at the executive board meeting on the 6th and decided to approve the withdrawal notification.

Regarding the reason, the Japan Swimming Federation says, "The series of actions is very regrettable as a top swimmer, and the responsibility to betray the trust of many swimming fans and related parties as well as the family is very heavy."



On top of that, the ethics committee of the federation will ask Seto about the situation again, and if new facts can be confirmed, he will consider disposing of it.



The federation also revealed that Seto had declined to participate in the FINA World Swimming Championships on the 17th of this month, which was originally planned.



On the other hand, according to the people concerned, the prize money race in Hungary from this month to next month in which the top players will participate is being adjusted for participation.
