Top-seeded Djokovic was strongly opposed, but he probably got the biggest scare hiccup when he accidentally hit a line judge with a ball in his head in the first set.

Djokovic was excluded from the US Open just a few weeks ago when he angrily hit a ball that hit a line judge to the ground.

But this time it happened in games and then there will be no penalty.

Yesterday, Djokovic said that he thinks the line judgments have become superfluous.

- The technology is so advanced now, there is absolutely no reason to keep line judges.

That is my opinion, he said.

Set a record

The 33-year-old Serb took his fourth straight 3-0 victory in Paris where he is chasing his second title.

- It was a tight match and I am happy that I managed to win in three straight, said the world setter who now reached his eleventh straight quarter final in Paris and the 47th grand slam context.

Djokovic also set a record as he has never before reached eleven straight quarter-finals in the French Open.

In the quarterfinals, he will face the Spaniard Pablo Carreño Busta or the German Daniel Altmaier.
