Al-Ahly of Egypt travels to Morocco by special plane to face Wydad

Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football at Al-Ahly club, announced that the first football team will undergo strict medical procedures before traveling to Morocco to face Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca in the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

In statements published by Al-Ahly on his website today, Monday, Abdel Hafeez said that the team’s mission to Morocco will undergo a medical examination in Cairo before traveling and another after arriving in Casablanca, as part of the medical precautions in light of the Corona pandemic.

He added that it was decided to travel the team by private plane, according to the coordination that was made with the club's board of directors headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib.

On the other hand, Abdel Hafeez said that the Tunisian Ali Maaloul and the Angolan Geraldo will join the team’s mission in Morocco, after the camp of their national teams ends on October 13th.

Al-Ahly had set October 13 as the date to travel to Morocco in preparation for the match against Wydad in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-final on the 17th of the same month.
