The Lion is launched!

Ibrahima Niane slammed a hat-trick to convince those who doubted his ability to succeed Habib Diallo, Metz top scorer last season (12 goals) Against Lorient (3-1) Sunday October 04 for the 6th day of Ligue 1, l he Senegalese striker has scored his 4th, 5th, and 6th goals of the season.

Already half of Diallo's total last season, as if to show that he had strong shoulders to become Metz's new spearhead.

It must be said that Ibrahima Niane started the season escorted by the favorable prejudice due to his potential and his talent, but also by a slight skepticism fueled by his statistics of last year, three goals in 26 matches.

Foot Generation Product

His start to the season today validates all the praise that accompanied him when he arrived at FC Metz in 2017 when he had just turned 18.

The young "Ibra" arrived from Senegal where he had already built his little legend of surface killer despite his young age.

The Generation Foot player had just been crowned top scorer in the Senegalese Ligue 1 championship with 19 goals in 17 matches, a record that still stands.

Powerful (1.87, 78 kg), fast, formidable from the head (three goals out of six), the Senegalese striker continues the tradition of Senegalese nuggets in Metz, polished within his "subsidiary" Generation Foot which unearthed the Sadio Mané, Papiss Cissé, Diafra Sakho and others Ismaïla Sarr and Habib Diallo.

Not selected for the international friendlies of Senegal, on October 9 and 13, against Morocco and Mauritania, the native of Mbour should not be long in honoring his first selection.

“

Ibrahima, in my opinion, will be called up in six or eight months.

Everything will depend of course on what he does in Metz, but I am also very confident on that side

, ”confided his trainer Olivier Perrin in 2017. The prediction has not yet taken place, but obviously it is no longer only a matter of time for Ibrahima Niane who has just extended his contract with Metz until 2024.
