With five minutes left of regular time, Ebba Hed in Vittsjö got a nice ball in the deep but Piteå's goalkeeper Guro Pettersen went out and made a nice foot parade.
It was the best chance of the match.
There were some close situations but few clear chances.
Piteå did not have a single shot on goal in the entire match while Vittsjö had four.
It was Vittsjö who had the initiative but Piteå had a tight defensive that was difficult to penetrate.
The final minutes were intense as both teams chased a winning goal.
With five rounds left, Piteå, Swedish champions as recently as two years ago, are one point ahead of Växjö in the relegation zone.
Next Sunday, the teams will meet in what could be a decisive match in Växjö.
