On the artificial turf in Jämtland, it had only been seven minutes before AIK washed out their second corner and one of the match's most unexpected goal scorers presented himself.

After an unclear bounce, the ball went to midfielder Per Karlsson who from close range could score his first goal in three years in the Allsvenskan, the most recent was 24 September 2017.

Giant rescue prevented a draw

Otherwise, it was the Östersund team that had the most dangerous situations during the match with a series of innings from the edges that were saved at the last minute.

Closest of all, however, was ÖFK's Felix Hörberg who pulled off a solid cannon that would have gone straight up the crossbar if it were not for AIK goalkeeper Budimir Janosevic's cat jump.

Surprising 2-0 goal after bid

But instead of an equalizer, a surprising 2-0 came to the away team after a real invitation from Östersund goalkeeper Aly Keita.

A foul in the own penalty area resulted in a more or less open goal for the AIK players where Henok Goitom made no mistake.

- It was not one of the more difficult goals I have made in my career.

I told Filip (Rogic) that he was completely alone and would just put it in, but suddenly I got the ball and was about to swallow what I said, says Henok Goitom in Dplay's broadcast after the match.

In the final minutes, however, ÖFK reduced on a corner where Thomas Isherwood headed in 1-2 but that goal was a bit and too late.

The victory means that AIK takes their back on the team in the middle layer while Östersund slips behind in the battle for the European places.
