A source close to the former Saudi youth team player, Algerian defender Jamal Eddin Balamri, confirmed to "Emirates Today" that Shabab Al-Ahly and Al-Ain showed great interest in order to contract with Balamari during the coming period, and before the summer transfer market closed.

He revealed contacts that took place with the two clubs in this regard, and said that a third club had entered into negotiations with the player at the present time.

The source said that the player is more interested in playing in the Arab Gulf League, and that this is one of the reasons that led him to reject an offer from a European club.

It is noteworthy that the 30-year-old player terminated his contract at the beginning of last September with Al-Shabab after months of controversy between him and his club management, due to the decision to reduce his salary by 50%, as he refused to give his consent to the matter.

He is now free to decide his own destiny with any other club.
