Bernard Laporte, the outgoing president of the French Rugby Federation, was re-elected on Saturday for a second four-year term.

The electoral campaign was particularly upset by the warning of the president-candidate on September 22 in the Altrad affair, on suspicion of favoritism.

Bernard Laporte was reelected on Saturday as president of the French Rugby Federation, a position he has held since December 2016. He thus won against Florian Grill.

Braked by the Covid-19 pandemic, the campaign was shaken, less than two weeks before the poll, by the custody of Bernard Laporte on September 22, as part of the Altrad affair on suspicion of favoritism.
