  The AFC stated that the first tournament to use the new name will be the first round of the 2022 AFC U17 and U20 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers.

  According to the announcement, Australia, Mongolia, Myanmar and Tajikistan will host the 2022 AFC U17 and U20 Women's Asian Cup first round qualifiers.

The host countries of the U17 Women's Asian Cup first round qualifiers also include Bangladesh, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam.

The other venues for the U20 Women's Asian Cup first round qualifiers are China, Chinese Taipei, Laos and Singapore.

  The AFC stated that the name change of the tournament is only applicable to the AFC matches scheduled to start in 2021, and the postponed matches in 2020 will not be affected.
