"Corona" sneaking into Naples before facing Juventus

The Italian football club Napoli announced that there were two positive cases of the new Corona virus in its ranks, two days before the third stage summit meeting with the defending champions Juventus on Sunday.

Napoli said in a tweet on his Twitter page that “after the tests yesterday, Thursday, the Polish player Piotr Zelensky and a member of the coaching staff tested positive for Covid-19 virus.”

Napoli was the last team to face Genoa, which announced a few days ago that 19 of its players and workers had been infected with the Corona virus.

The Italian Federation postponed the Genoa match in the previous stage against Turin last weekend, knowing that it lost in the previous stage against Napoli with a clean sixth.

The leaders Napoli are expected to play a difficult match Sunday against Juventus, the champions of the past nine seasons, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

On Thursday, the league agreed on a course of action to avoid having to make decisions on a case-by-case basis about whether or not matches should be allowed to continue: it upheld UEFA rules that require a match to take place once the team has possession. On 13 healthy players, including the goalkeeper.

There is an exception, if there are ten new positive cases of "Covid-19" in a club within a week, it is possible to request a postponement, but only once during the season.
