Sweden and Östersund will not be allowed to arrange their World Cup competition as planned on 3–6 December, the International Biathlon Federation (IBU) writes on its website.
At a meeting on Saturday, the IBU decided to change the competition schedule and reduce the number of competition opportunities from four different locations to two: Kontiolahti, Finland and Hochfilzen, Austria.
According to the IBU, the decision will be made to ensure the health of practitioners and to minimize logistical risks due to travel.
