There was a hug party and ring dance for the Bayern players after the final signal while the Sevilla players were depressed and walked around with heavy steps.

Directly on the final signal, the dent was engraved, which was then raised by the Bayern players.

At the end of the first extra half, the newly substituted Javi Martinez nodded in 2-1 for Bayern after powerfully having plenty of time to measure up after the return from David Alaba's heavy shot.

By then, Martinez had been on the field for four minutes.

Two important saves by Neuer

At the start of extra time, Sevilla's Youssef En-Nesyri came through after a suspected offside.

He faked away a defender and fired a hard low shot as Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, named by Uefa as Europe's best player 2019-20, made a foot parade and the ball went up to the left post and could then be taken care of.

At the end of regular time, Neuer made another crucial save.

He was a big match winner for Bayern.

It was no big surprise that the match would go to extra time.

Six of the last eight Supercup finals had been extended.

Now it's seven out of nine.

An estimated 20,000 people watched the match at Puskás Aréna in Budapest, a test by UEFA during these pandemic times.
