The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy announced the launch of the 10 Million Steps Challenge initiative with the slogan "We Lead It" on social media platforms, coinciding with the Academy celebrations of the 10th anniversary of its founding.

The academy said, in a statement, that the initiative reflects the international sporting position it has reached in a record period of time.

The new event is a challenge in which all participants compete by counting every step they take anywhere they are in order to stimulate the practice of sporting activity and to encourage a healthy lifestyle. The slogan “We lead it” reflects the determination of the Emirati society to face all challenges.

The Academy management affirms that the 10-year anniversary of its foundation is an ideal occasion to celebrate together an edifice of creativity and excellence in the field of women's sports, and a platform that has imposed itself on the regional and international sports arena with its successive achievements over a decade, in light of the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak ( Mother of the Emirates), and the follow-up to Sheikha Fatima bint Hazaa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chair of the Academy's Board of Directors, President of Abu Dhabi Club and Al Ain Ladies Club

The organizing committee at Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy revealed the dates for participation in the challenge, which will start from 1 to 10 October, provided that the door for participation is open and free of charge for all segments of society, and of all ages.

She said that in addition to the challenge and to encourage the largest possible number to participate, the Academy announced the opportunity to enter a draw for valuable prizes for those who can reach 10 thousand steps per day, during 10 consecutive days of walking, running or even climbing stairs for one participant, with documentation of steps And uploading them through the use of the academy's social networking sites and the website, and it is expected that the challenge will have the participation of the academy heroines to support the initiative and promote the campaign.

The challenge will take place from October 1-10, and it will be open to everyone for free.
