Silvester van der Water is again affiliated with the selection of Heracles Almelo.

The forward on a transfer has apologized after he refused to play on Sunday.

Van der Water checked out on Saturday evening via WhatsApp with trainer Frank Wormuth for the Eredivisie match with Willem II.

Without the attacker, Heracles went down 4-0 in Tilburg.

23-year-old Van der Water would like to force a transfer with his absence.

He is in the focus of the American Orlando City, but Heracles has not yet reached an agreement on a transfer fee with the club from the MLS.

Heracles imposed the maximum fine on Van der Water for his "unacceptable behavior".

Trainer Wormuth spoke of "refusal to work" and "adolescent behavior".

In a conversation with the management of Heracles, Van der Water expressed regret for his actions on Wednesday morning.

"Today we sat around the table again," said technical director Tim Gilissen.

"We told each other the truth one more time. Silvester has disapproved of his previous actions and has expressed regret."

Apologies accepted by players and coaching staff

After the conversation with the management, Van der Water also apologized to the technical staff and the Almelo players' group.

"They have been accepted by the group," said Gillissen.

"Silvester can now show it on the training field. The focus must be on football again."

Heracles is in tenth place in the Eredivisie after two rounds with three points.

Before the 4-0 defeat against Willem II, Van der Water led his team in the first game with a goal and an assist past ADO Den Haag (0-2).
