The capital, Abu Dhabi, began receiving stars from UFC's return to Nazzal Island, ahead of the start of the tournament on Yas Island from this 27 to 25 October.

Brazilian fighter Paulo Costa and his Nigerian opponent, Addisania, arrived at the W Hotel - Abu Dhabi, within the safe zone designated for the event, in preparation for participating in the "UFC 253: Addisania vs. Costa" match, which will be held on 27th of this month.

The two stars will be joined by Jan Placowitz and Dominic Rees, who will compete during the joint event of the main heavyweight heavyweight class.

Kay Cara France, Juan Espino and Hakim Daoud also arrived, in addition to the fighter Caitlin Vieira.

All athletes received a quick briefing on health and safety measures before entering the precautionary quarantine period for a period of 48 hours at their residence, as part of the strict health and safety measures adopted in line with the efforts of the Abu Dhabi government to implement the approved preventive measures.

After performing two tests to detect "Covid-19", one before leaving their country, and the second upon their arrival in Abu Dhabi, all athletes took the test for a third time so that they could leave their hotel rooms and move in the safe area designated for the event to return to Al-Nazzal Island from UFC in Yass Island;

Note that all those within the safe zone are subject to periodic tests supervised by the organizing committee in coordination with the competent authorities.
