The player of the UAE women's soccer team, Haya Hani Al-Suwaidi, confirmed her happiness and great joy in being chosen as the AFC's Social Responsibility Ambassador among other players and players from different parts of the continent, to carry out many community initiatives in various humanitarian fields.

Al-Suwaidi said that she chose the field of teaching orphans football, where she will visit them, and will launch an initiative in this context that brings joy and pleasure into them, such as teaching them football and giving them the opportunity to play this first popular game in the world.

She emphasized that she is proud to represent the UAE abroad in sports and on the social aspect as well, while her father Hani Al Suwaidi expressed his overwhelming joy with this choice.

Haya (16 years) said to Emirates Today: “I was nominated by the Football Association for this position, and this choice will be a great motivation for me to reflect the honorable face of my country. The Confederation has given me the opportunity to choose the field in which I play the role of an ambassador for social responsibility, where I chose the field of caring for orphans. ”

She added: “I currently study at Asma Bint Al-Numan School in Dubai. I loved football and have been playing it since my childhood. I joined the women's team in 2017, and I am currently playing with the French (AFC) academy team and I did not find any problem in playing football, as my family constantly encourages me I reconcile my studies with my favorite hobby. ”

She said she aspires to develop herself and represent the UAE in big tournaments.

Al-Suwaidi revealed that besides football, she practices hobbies such as swimming, rugby and horse riding.

For his part, her father, Hani Al-Suwaidi, confirmed to “Emirates Today” that his daughter’s participation in the sports field has many goals, including her practicing different activities, socially, sports and scientifically, which gives her some skills and abilities, in addition to the skills of dealing with others.
