From Monday's matches, all teams in the Allsvenskan and the Superettan will play in mourning bands in memory of Lars-Åke Lagrell.

During the coming week, all matches will also begin with a minute of silence.

- Lars-Åke was a very active chairman and always curious about change.

Together with the pair horse Lennart Johansson, he laid the foundation for today's model where the elite and the breadth of Swedish football see it as completely obvious that it is together that they achieve success, says Lars-Christer Olsson, chairman of Swedish Elite Football, to their website.

Lars-Åke Lagrell was chairman of the Swedish Football Association between the years 1991 and 2012. He passed away on Monday after a period of illness. He turned 80 years old.
