TFC players will have to get used to playing without any supporters.

This Monday, the prefect of Haute-Garonne took new binding measures to try to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The gauge for public events is thus reduced from 5,000 to 1,000 people.

The TFC has decided to play its next Ligue 2 match behind closed doors, on Saturday against Auxerre at the Stadium.

And the club will "probably" take the same decision for the reception of Troyes, a week later, on October 3.

⚠️ Following the measures announced by @PrefetOccitanie, the #TFCAJA meeting will unfortunately be played behind closed doors.

The TFC thanks its supporters in advance for their understanding and hopes to find them very soon at the Stadium.

"All of our supporters and partners not being able to attend the meeting, it seemed preferable to us not to create a distinction between them and therefore to keep the doors of the Stadium closed", explain the Violets in a press release.

Ticket holders for one of these two matches will be contacted "very quickly in order to offer them a solution adapted to this new situation".

Big blow for Stade Toulousain

Also affected by this prefectural decision, Stade Toulousain had not reacted this Monday in the early evening.

Sunday, the club was able to play "in extremis" in front of 5,000 people, against the Irish from Ulster in the quarter-final of the European Cup (36-8).

The next meeting of the Red and Black rugby players in their den of Ernest-Wallon is scheduled for October 4 against Toulon, in Top 14.

While the budget of football clubs is largely supplied by TV rights, that of rugby clubs, and Stade Toulousain in particular, depends mainly on the presence of the public (supporters and partners).
