Surprising developments: Mortada Mansour stopped and Zamalek TV broadcasters banned from attacking Al-Ahly

Surprising developments took place in the Egyptian club Zamalek during the past hours, after the club’s president, Mortada Mansour, asked the club’s channel announcers not to violate the Al-Ahly club through their programs "in any way."

"Russia Today" website reported statements by Murtada Mansour in a telephone interview on Zamalek TV: "I call on all broadcasters of the Zamalek channel not to attack Al-Ahly Club in any way, except in the case of responding to any accusations made by the other party." A big club, with millions of fans, and there is no disagreement with one of the biggest clubs and the owner of the championships, principles and values, but the difference is with some people on the club’s board of directors, not everyone.

And Mansour continued: "I hope everyone will abide by this decision, in my capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the channel, and I hope that the other party will commit itself not to harm us."

On the other hand, the Disciplinary Committee of the Egyptian Football Association announced that Mortada Mansour had been suspended from participating or attending the activities organized by the Federation for a period of six matches.

The committee met today, Monday, headed by Counselor Sayed Bandari, to decide on the reports and complaints submitted to it, especially since Murtaza launched a sharp attack on the members of the Five-Year Committee and the Referees Committee during the last period.
