Björn Eriksson, chairman of the Swedish Sports Confederation, thus assumes that support for 2021 will not remain at just over SEK 1.9 billion.
This is because the corona pandemic will still affect sports.
- I assume that the sports movement receives increased support and opportunities to both handle continued restrictions due to the pandemic and also develop the business going forward to contribute as the strong force of society we are.
But it is reasonable that it happens when we ourselves have completed the analysis of needs in the longer term, which we expect to be ready at the beginning of 2021, says Eriksson.
The total grant amount for 2020 thus ended up at around SEK 3.4 billion.
