PSV strengthened itself on Sunday with striker Eran Zahavi.

The 33-year-old Israeli comes transfer-free from Guangzhou R&F, the club of trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst, and signs for two years in Eindhoven.

"Eran is a real goal getter with a great

track record

and adds experience to our young selection," says technical manager John de Jong on the PSV site.

Zahavi is a 54-time international of Israel (20 goals) and has played in China for the past four seasons, where he has had excellent statistics with 103 goals in 117 games.

Earlier, the striker made an impression in his home country on behalf of Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he scored 122 hits in 157 games.

At Hapoel Tel Aviv, Zahavi previously scored 33 goals in 127 games.

In total, the counter, who also played just for Palermo and was less successful there, stands at 260 goals in 427 matches.

He was top scorer three times in the Israeli league and twice in the Chinese league, as well as player of the year in both countries.

"I had a great time in China, but I want to show what I can do in Europe one more time," said Zahavi.

"PSV is a great opportunity for me. Playing for the prizes and attacking football. There is a great challenge here and I am looking forward to playing in the Netherlands."

After goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo and left back Philipp Max, Zahavi is the third newcomer in the PSV selection, which won 2-1 against FC Emmen on Sunday and is still without a loss of points after two Eredivisie rounds of play.
